I imagine this is what an indoor adult playground looks like. Except, kids can join the fun here, too!
It’s an all-day party at Baton Rouge’s newest entertainment place. The Main Event Entertainment inside the Mall of Louisiana could be your next go-to hang out spot.
“It’s a way to spend time with your family on a Saturday, but also a way to come here with your team on a Tuesday afternoon to do Tuesday team-building,” said Haley Soileau, the Baton Rouge location’s event sales manager.
Soileau says the 50,000 square foot space houses over 130 games and activities, like a ropes course and zip-line. You’ll also find 22 bowling lanes, regulation size billiard tables, shuffleboard and laser tag. Almost all of these games are kid friendly, but you must be 18 years or older to play pool and shuffleboard.
“I think it’s entertaining because it serves both the adults and the kids at the same time,” said Cassandra Gentry, a guest visiting the new venue.
To keep the party going, there is even chef-inspired dining and a high-energy bar featuring hand-crafted cocktails and American fare. So, while the kids play games, parents can enjoy a beer and snack at the bar.

That’s how Gentry likes to enjoy her time here.
“[I like] not having to worry so much about my kids because they are enjoying themselves, while I’m enjoying myself with a drink and eating,” said Gentry.

Soileau says the Main Event Entertainment is all about celebrating the community.
“It’s all about taking care of people… and that means the people that visit the venue, the people that work here,” said Soileau. “We are always celebrating our guests, and we are always celebrating our community, and we are always celebrating our staff.”
The party vibes are a bit contagious inside the Main Event. You’ll probably want to spend every weekend here. You can book birthday parties and corporate events here, too.
The facility opens to the public on Wednesday, Aug. 28. We even have a chance for you to win $25 of arcade game play for grand opening day!
