Taste a Joe Burrow-inspired beer at Tin Roof Brewing’s Peach Bowl watch party

Tin Roof Brewing invites you to watch the Peach Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 28.

It feels like FINALLY– the LSU Tigers head to the playoffs! Well, Tin Roof Brewing, a Baton Rouge craft brewery, wants to help you celebrate the Peach Bowl a little differently on Saturday, Dec. 28.

“It’s one of our last hurrahs, and I guess our biggest game to date,” said William McGehee, co-founder of Tin Roof. “So, we wanted to throw a tailgate-themed party.”

This tailgate-themed party includes food by Geaux Cuban food truck, yard games for all ages and a couple of big screens to see the action. Now, I know a tailgate-themed party doesn’t sound that different for any other football game. But just wait for it because all of that celebrating may make you a little thirsty… That’s where the unique LSU-themed beers come in.

The big release at Tin Roof on Saturday is Jeaux and the Giant Peach IPA. It’s a hazy brew made with peach puree and infused with peach juice. Of course, it’s named in honor of our Heisman Award winning quarterback, Joe Burrow.

However, this is a limited release beer. You get it while it’s good and then it’s gone! McGehee said you need to get there in time in order to get a glass.

“I can only assume that it will probably be gone by the end of the game. Hopefully, there will be lots of celebratory victory pints afterwards,” said McGehee.

Get your hands on Jeaux and the Giant Peach this Saturday only. But, if you don’t get a victory pint of that one, then try the LSU-licensed Bayou Bengal Lager.

There are many options at Tin Roof for thirsty LSU fans. Take brewery visitor Jason Grzych for example. He brings his whole family in to celebrate.

“We bring the kids, we bring the whole family,” said Grzych. “There’s always things for everyone, they are always welcoming to everyone. So, it’s a good time.”

And he raises a glass to see the Tigers play this weekend.

“I’m excited because it’s our first time being in the playoffs, it’s great. We’ve been looking for this our whole time here. We are no longer looking up to Alabama, we’re actually the guys there.”

Visit the family and dog-friendly taproom on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. The game kicks off at 3:00 p.m. For more information about the event, check out their Facebook page
