In Partnership with the Southern Weekend

Take an evening tour of the haunted Myrtles Plantation this Halloween

Besides being a beautiful bed and breakfast, the Myrtles Plantation offers explorations of its spooky history. Every weekend in October, take an evening tour through the haunted property in St. Francisville.

Now, we’ve heard what can happen at this place during the day.

If you aren’t caught up, co-owner Morgan Moss breaks down his two ghostly encounters.

And this: A woman in white appears on the Myrtles Plantation

That’s pretty spooky stuff! Can you imagine the ambiance of this place after the sun goes down?

Well, you’ll just have to see it for yourself by going on one of the Halloween evening tours. They start at $15 per person and last about an hour long.

During October, the evening tours are every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. You can book a reservation slot between 6:00 pm and 8:30 pm. The final tour of the day finishes at 9:30 pm.

Get online and book ahead of time. The available slots fill up quickly. Check out the tour calendar and reserve your spot here.

Typically, the plantation hosts evening tours every week of the year. But the Halloween season is a little different as they offer more reservation slots through the weekends.

So, if haunted houses aren’t really your thing, then this might be a great way to get scared.

Plus, the setting is a little more romantic than a traditional haunted house. You could even stop by the attached Restaurant 1796 for a date night or a drink at the bar.

Explore the over 200-year-old southern property and learn its stories. Supposedly, many of the lingering spirits on the property are friendly… but don’t make them mad!

Keep up with the property and its events on Find the Myrtles Plantation at 7747 U.S. Highway 61 in St. Francisville.
