Play with real snow in Louisiana on Mount Sneaux Day at these 2 events

Alright, reality check: chances of snow in Louisiana during the holiday season are slim. Shocking, I know. That doesn’t mean it’s not possible! Occasionally, snow falls and the whole city shuts down to enjoy the short-lived white ice (and to avoid road dangers, too).

But, at these two events, you can enjoy real snow in Louisiana without all of the hassle.

Real snow covers the ground in Baton Rouge and Lafayatte on Mount Sneaux Day. This snowy experience is an event organized by The Backpacker and The North Face

The Mount Sneaux Day occurs on two dates at two of The Backpacker locations:

  • November 29, 10:00 am-12:00 pm on Jefferson Highway in Baton Rouge
  • December 13, 4:00 pm- 6:00 pm on Kaliste Saloom Road in Lafayette

At the Baton Rouge event, gather in front of The Backpacker location on Jefferson Highway to make real snowmen. All ages are invited to enjoy the event. Come ready to roast s’mores by the fire and meet Yeti.

At the Lafayette event, bring the kiddos to play in the snow and games for the whole family. Also, expect to snack on hot chocolate and s’mores. Take advantage of the picture-perfect opportunity by taking turns in the photo booth. And, check out The Backpacker giveaways and in-store specials. Yeti may make an appearance, as well.
