Movies and Music on the Lawn series returns to Baton Rouge for the first time since fall 2019

The Baton Rouge Gallery’s (BRG) Movies and Music on the Lawn series is returning with five summer events. On Saturday, June 26, the summer event is kicking off its return with a performance by the band Riarosa and a showing of the 1927 silent comedy, “The Red Mill.” 

BRG’s Movies and Music on the Lawn series highlights contemporary local musicians and classic silent-era films. Each month, for the next five months, one Louisiana-based musician will be paired with one silent-era film. Find the entire lineup below ↓

  • June 26 – Riarosa and “The Red Mill” (1927) 
  • July 24 – The Lilli Lewis Project and “The Crowd” (1928) 
  • August 21 – Kids Night featuring students of the Baton Rouge Music Studios and “Shaun the Sheep” (2015) 
  • September 18 – Minos the Saint and “The Kid Brother” (1927) – Free admission as part of The Art Council of Greater Baton Rouge’s Ebb and Flow Festival
  • October 24 – Palomino Darling and “Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde” (1920)
