Louisiana’s first container park settles in Baton Rouge’s Mid-City

Container Parks have been popping up all over the United States, and now Baton Rouge has one of its own.

Welcome to Millennial Park, located at 3817 Florida Boulevard. This Mid-City outdoor dining experience takes industrial shipping containers and re-purposes them into dining vendors.

Jive Turkey, Millennial Park’s first container vendor, opened to the public in June 2020. This turkey vendor specializes in turkey legs and wings, loaded turkey fries and many other things.

Other vendors expected to settle at Millennial Park include Royal Taste of Jamaica and Memphis Mac BBQ.

With such a communal atmosphere, Millennial Park will be hosting a “Baton Rouge Summer Drive-In Movie Night” on Saturday, July 18. Because of strict social distancing guidelines, tickets must be purchased to attend the event.
