‘Friends’ returning to the big screen for Thanksgiving

Friendsgiving will have an even more special meaning for fans of the classic sitcom “Friends” this year. The gang heads to the big screen for a special two-day screening event on Nov. 24 and Nov. 25.

Fathom Events is showing eight Thanksgiving-themed episodes in select theaters nationwide, including a showing in Denham Springs.

The holiday screening is the latest in a string of Warner Brothers’ events to celebrate the sitcom’s 25th anniversary. Recently, the show even gave fans around the country the chance of a lifetime to sit on the iconic Central Perk couch.

Who better to kick off Thanksgiving with than Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Chandler, Ross and Joey?

Every showing will also include four “remastered” episodes, upgraded to 4K film, according to Fathom.

“Watch as Monica puts a turkey on her head, Rachel makes a curious trifle cake, Ross reveals an old secret, Chandler declares his love for Monica, Joey tries to devour an entire turkey, and Phoebe exposes something about Chandler’s canine allergy,” according to Fathom events.

The show time for the screening on Nov. 24 is at 7 p.m., and screenings for Nov. 25 are at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Tickets go on sale Nov. 1.
