Naturalists with BREC’s Conservation Department will be hosting a nighttime hike where families can learn about plants and nocturnal animals at BREC’s Forest Park on Friday, Aug. 27.
Organizers say it’s a great way to get the family out AFTER the daytime heat.
Participants will also join a campfire after the hike.
Space is limited, so organizers are asking participants to preregister now.
Children must be at least six years of age or older, registered, and accompanied by a registered adult.
The cost of the hike is $5 per person for East Baton Rouge Parish residents and $6 for out-of-parish residents.
BREC’s Forest Community Park is located at 13900 South Harrell’s Ferry Road Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
