Although Louisiana is entering Phase Two of Covid-19 guidance, many Baton Rouge agencies have altered summer collaborations to take place in a virtual setting.
One of those Baton Rouge agencies doing so is Big Buddy. This local youth agency is hosting a virtual summer enrichment experience for youths across the region.

Registration is free to youths in grades Kindergarten through 12th. Supplies and materials will also be provided each week. Upon registration, participants will select one of four Baton Rouge pick up locations where they will their receive supplies.
All the supplies and materials offered will assist participates in activities including arts & crafts, STEAM activities, experiments and many other forms of creativity like art, music and dance.
“Connections to this sort of summer programming is important in helping our youth adapt to challenging times and it is more important than ever that we help youth, adapt and move forward. This virtual platform will inspire our youth to explore, be creative, be safe, have fun and learn,” said Carlos Daniels, Big Buddy Director of Programs and Operations.
The Big Buddy virtual experience is open to all youths, but only those with the ability to pick up supplies in Baton Rouge will qualify for weekly supply packs.
