Downtown Baton Rouge’s newest festival takes the stage Saturday, June 22. According to the fest’s website, “Bandito Festival is a little bit country and little bit rock-n-roll, a little bit south of the border and a little bit Americana.”
With such a variety of sounds, we’ve got the lineup here:
1:00-1:30 – Grinders
2:00-3:00 – The Bottle Rockets
3:30-4:15 – Hitchiker
4:45-6:00 – Shooter Jennings
6:30-8:00 – Son Volt
8:30-10:00 – Old 77’s

Admission into the festival is free. It all goes down in Galvez Plaza in the heart of downtown Baton Rouge. The day will begin at 11 a.m. and continue until 11 p.m.
You can expect lots of great food from vendors like Gov’t Taco, Jay D’s Barbecue, Mestizo Louisiana Mexican Cuisine and BRQ Seafood & Barbecue. Apparently, the food vendors will compete for the Best BBQ and Best Taco, as well. Those sound like tasty competitions!
If you want to start the party a little earlier, stop by the Road to Bandito concerts. Jonathan and the Northern Lights, as well as Jason Martin showdown at Happy’s Irish Pub on Friday, June 21 from 9:00 pm to 1:00 am.
And finally, an after party finishes up the debut weekend with Dash Rip Rock performing at Happy’s Irish Pub. That starts at 11:00 pm on Saturday, June 22.
