Daddy Daughter Day At The Movies

BATON ROUGE, La. (THE LOUISIANA WEEKEND) - The most anticipated movie of the summer, The Little Mermaid starring Halle Bailey as Ariel will be in theaters beginning May 26, 2023. Baton Rouge dad, CJ Griffin decided to take his three-old-daughter to the movies on opening weekend to see The Little Mermaid. CJ invited a few of his friends who had daughters. Before he knew it, he had so much positive feedback that he decided to rent an entire theater. Mayor Sharon Weston Broome’s office heard about Daddy Daughter Day and decided to partner their Safe Hopeful Healthy BR initiative with CJ to help take more dads and daughters to the movies.

Daddy Daughter Day is Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 11:00am at AMC Theater on 16040 Hatteras Avenue in Baton Rouge. Tickets are free. Dads and daughters ages three and up are welcome. Moms must stay home. “I want to add value to the daddy daughter relationship,” says CJ Griffin, local realtor and event organizer. Griffin also says, “you can have everything you want in life if you are willing to help people get what they want”.

Two theaters at AMC are reserved for this event. Movie tickets are free for dads and daughters who register in advance. You must register in order to attend. For tickets visit HERE
