BATON ROUGE, La. (THE LOUISIANA WEEKEND) - Exams are completed, grades are in. Graduations are taking place. Now that we have reached the end of a successful school year, many schools and communities are honoring teachers for their commitment to educating our future leaders. There are a few free parties and free concerts for teachers this week.
A city-wide educator’s appreciation event is taking place Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Red Stick Social on 1503 Government Street in Baton Rouge. The event begins at 5:00pm. All educators including teachers, administrators, faculty, coaches, bus drivers, cafeteria staff, guidance counselors all get in free until 8:00pm. There will be five floors on entertainment including live music by Universal Language Band.
Across town at Chelsea’s Live at 1010 Nicholson in Baton Rouge, The Michael Foster Project will perform a concert for Teacher Appreciation Week. The Teacher Appreciation Field Trip concert is free for teachers. Prices for everyone else start at $10.00. The event begins at 5:00pm. There are Happy Hour drink specials from 5:00pm until 7:00pm.
