BATON ROUGE, La. (THE LOUISIANA WEEKEND) - Galentine’s Day is a modern holiday dedicated showing the joys of female friendship. On Galentine’s Day, which is February 13th, women show love and affection to other women who make-up their support system. This support system includes sisters, friends, classmates, neighbors, and all the ladies called upon for afternoon of shopping, brunch, or girl talk.

There are a lot of Galentine’s Brunches this weekend in Baton Rouge. Here are a few of our picks.

Galentine’s Brunch at Rouj Creole

Rouj Creole is hosting a Galentine’s Champagne Brunch. There are two seatings, so whether you are an early riser, of if you want to sleep in, there’s a spot at brunch for you and your gal pals. Enjoy a signature cocktail created specifically for Galentine’s Day. You will also delight in French Toast Sliders, Baked Brie, and Cheesecake Stuffed Beignets. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to support the Flower Fest and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Sponsored by Metro Baton Rouge chapter of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. This is a meet and greet for prospective members.
