BATON ROUGE, La. (THE LOUISIANA WEEKEND) - Ques Under the Stars fundraising gala will be held on July 16th at 7:00pm at the Capitol Park Museum on 660 North 4th Street in Baton Rouge. This is the signature event for the Lambda Kappa Kappa Foundation and the brothers of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Lambda Kappa Kappa chapter.
I spoke with fraternity members about this upcoming event. Former chapter president, Elliott Searcy is the Chairman of Ques Under the Stars. Edward B. Coulon Smith is also a former chapter president. He is the Assistant Chairman of Ques Under the Stars. Both gentlemen are excited to welcome the community to this inaugural gala.
Event tickets include entrance into the event, access to tour the Capitol Park museum, small bites, live music from Universal Language inside, DJ Kicks outside, and of course dancing. Additionally, Lambda Kappa Kappa is raffling off a trip for two to Paris. Raffle tickets can be purchased online or at the event. This is a fundraiser. A portion of the proceeds will go towards community programs including, scholarships, adopt a family for Thanksgiving, as well as adopt a middle school for Christmas where the foundation provides Christmas gifts for every child in a middle school. Event tickets are only $60.
Here’s more details on the trip to Paris. One $40 raffle ticket gets you a chance to win a trip for two people to Paris, France. The trip includes round trip flights for two, hotel accommodations for 5 days, and two tickets to the Louvre museum. You must purchase a ticket to “Ques Under the Stars” event to purchase a raffle ticket.
