LEARN HOW TO KAYAK

If you have been interested in making kayaking one of your hobbies, the staff of BREC’s Outdoor Adventure has just the thing for you.
They’re offering a Kayak 101 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021 at BREC’s Greenwood Community Park.
The Kayak 101 class is a beginner to intermediate paddling class.

Participants will be given the opportunity to explore paddling skills on dry land, before moving on to water to get a true feel for how kayaks handle in their natural environment.

Instructors will coach participants on basic kayak handling, strokes, and techniques, and maneuvering skills to help them feel comfortable on the water in the kayak.

HOW TO REGISTER
The cost to register for all four classes is $10 per person for East Baton Rouge Parish residents and $12 per person for out-of-parish residents.
Participants must be at least 12-years of age or older.
