Baton Rouge General Foundation: Music is Medicine
The Baton Rouge General Foundation and the Arts Council of Greater Baton Rouge are partnering to bring Baton Rouge a “Music is Medicine” virtual live music event. Many artists in Louisiana are on the lineup and will be raising money for Baton Rouge General’s COVID-19 Operations Fund and the Arts Council’s Creative Relief Fund.

Cane’s In The Moment: Virtual Entertainment Series
Raising Canes is launching a new virtual series that will feature performances from different artists and groups. You can find these virtual performances streaming through Facebook Live every Wednesday and Friday through April 29th. During this virtual series, Raising Cane’s will be hosting a fundraiser for healthcare workers and disaster relief organizations.

Festival International de Louisiane
Festival season might be on hold, but that’s not stopping Festival International de Louisiane. This Lafayette festival is bringing its festivities straight to your computer screen. For three days, Festival International de Louisiane will share concerts, old videos, and a “International Collaborative Surprise,” you don’t want to miss.

Friday Night Vibes
Four-mallet jazz vibraphonist, Dr. Charles Brooks, is opening his home to bring a virtual series. Friday Night Vibes is a series he will be doing each Friday. He will be showcasing his multi-mallet improvisational vibraphone talents starting at 8:00 p.m. on Facebook and Periscope.

LSU School of Theatre: Digital Film Festival
The LSU School of Theatre is moving its annual Take Film Festival to the digital platform. The new name, Take Geauxs Online, will feature the 2020 Geaux Film, First Year Film and other short films from previous Take Film Festivals.
When: May 9th at 7:00 p.m.
Where: YouTube Live and Twitch (links to live stream will be available by May 1st on the LSU School of Theatre social media pages)

Theatre Baton Rouge
Theatre Baton Rouge has two virtual upcoming performances taking place in May.
The first performance is a ‘Virtual Mother’s Day Concert.” This virtual performance will celebrate mothers, grandmothers, aunts and all the other women who have made an impact on our lives. People interested in this event will be able to stream the performance from their homes.
When: May 8th – 10th
Where: After you purchase a ticket, a private link will be sent to your email to view the concert

The second virtual performance is a play titled, “How I leaned to Drive.” This play documents a young woman who is trying to navigate her way through life. This performance has earned many accolades. People interested in this event will be able to stream the performance from their homes.
