The people of Louisiana love food and that’s especially true for those of the capital city. Baton Rouge celebrates food with selected three-course meals at incredibly discounted prices during Restaurant Week. This season’s Restaurant Week runs July 29 – August 3. But, you can see your discounted menu options now.
There are 42 menus total. The cheapest menu I see is California Pizza Kitchen’s lunch menu for $12. The most expensive menus I see, like those at 18 Steak and Flemming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar, come in at $40.
I mean, come on! You get three courses (appetizer, entree and dessert) at some of the city’s best restaurants for $12-40. That’s a deal.
Just know — tax, gratuity and drinks are not included in the discounted price.
To avoid any confusion about what you’re paying for, be sure to know if you’re looking at a “lunch only” or “dinner only” menu. This should be noted at the top of each of the online menus.
If you’re curious of which menus I’m most excited to try, then I’ll tell you! I’ve always wanted to stop into Elsie’s Plate and Pie, so Restaurant Week might be my chance to try. The same thing goes for City Pork Brasserie and Bar and Rock N Roll Sushi. These are the restaurants you might see me at that week.
Not only is this a week of great lunch and dinner prices, it’s also a week of benefiting the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. See here how you can help give back to the community with just an Instagram post.
Of course, you can thank DIG Baton Rouge for putting all of this together. This isn’t their first rodeo creating something like this, so you can expect it to be a tasty week.
As for getting into the restaurants, regular business hours apply and reservations are recommended.
