Bringing Families Together To Understand (And Enjoy) Nature

The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries hosts two weekends a year for fathers and mothers to bond over the outdoors with their children.

The first weekend is for fathers and children is in the spring and the camp for mothers and children is in the fall.

The Families Understanding Nature (FUN) Camp for Mothers and their children is held on October 11 through 13 at the Woodworth Outdoor Education facility, south of Alexandria.

The camp offers parents and children an opportunity to spend a weekend in the outdoors, re-establishing bonds and honing outdoor skills.
