Teen to release 3rd album on Valentine’s Day

It’s no secret James Linden Hogg loves performing as a musician. In fact, he’s celebrating his love of music by launching his third full-length album on Valentine’s Day.

Hogg is only 18-years-old, but he’s already landed some major lines on his musical resume. The Baton Rouge-native has been recognized as a Louisiana Fiddle State Grand Champion. And not too long ago, he was invited to sing the National Anthem for the 100th anniversary of the American Farm Bureau National Convention. Speaking at that convention was none other than President Trump!

“Throughout James Linden’s childhood watching his father perform, he developed an appreciation for music. As his family remarks about the beginning of his talent, it was at the tender age of 3 when Ricky Skaggs prayed for James Linden to develop a musical ability. Throughout James Linden’s childhood watching his father perform, he developed an appreciation for music. But everything he’s doing as a musician is to help him with his biggest challenge – college! All of his performances and money made from album sales goes to pay for his tuition. That’s why the new album is titled “College Fund Volume 3.”

Hogg plans to begin his college career in 2019. He wants to pursue a degree in history and then continue his graduate studies in theology.

If you’re a fan of folk music, you’ll love James Linden Hogg. And he’ll love to see you on February 14 at the Manship Theatre.
