The Eddie E. Hughes Foundation will host the inaugural Stuffed Shrimp Festival in Shreveport, LA in 2019. This free, family-friendly festival will take place at Louisiana State Fairgrounds, 3701 Hudson Ave., 11 a.m.-11 p.m., on Sunday, May 12.
The purpose of establishing a Stuffed Shrimp Festival is to foster understanding and appreciation of the unique style of stuffed shrimp that were created and popularized in Shreveport. While celebrating the rich history of stuffed shrimp in Shreveport, the Stuffed Shrimp Festival will offer the very best in family fun and entertainment in a casual and wholesome setting. The festival will include live musical entertainment, cooking demonstrations, historical presentations, food trucks, vendors, arts and crafts, and a kid-friendly play area with bounce houses and more.
