Get ready for some Halloween fun!

Get ready for some Halloween fun for the whole family! The BREC Baton Rouge Zoo is holding their annual family-friendly event Boo at the Zoo October 21-22, & October 28-29. Here are some big highlights of the event you should know this year!

The Basics

Admissions to the event are open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and regular zoo admission applies.

You and the family are also encouraged to put on your best costumes while visiting stations throughout the zoo that give out Halloween candy and other treats.

The Enchanted Swamp

Formerly known as the Boo Den, the Enchanted Swamp is one of the newest attractions for Boo at the Zoo. Located throughout the Otter Cabin and adjacent boardwalks, you can enjoy all the magically decorated scenery and let your imagination go wild!

The Merry, Not Scary, Hay Maze

Worry about the scary mazes no longer! The Boo at the Zoo maze promises family fun and smiles. Admission into the maze is $1 and proceeds benefit the zoo.

The Spooky Train

Hop on this train and travel through the Cypress Bayou for some Halloween fun! You’ll even be able to spot some classic Halloween characters on your ride. Organizers say to make sure to keep an eye out around Boudreaux’s Bait Shop!

EdZooCation Station

The Wildlife Safari Amphitheatre will even be transformed into a hands-on animal extravaganza. The shows will run at 11:30 AM, 1:30 PM and 3:30 PM. Between shows there will be games and more fun activities from Zoo Educators and volunteers.
