In Partnership with the Southern Weekend

Ring in 2021 with Baton Rouge’s Red Stick virtual Revelry

Say goodbye to 2020 and hello to 2021!

Red Stick Revelry is hosting its annual New Year’s Eve party in a virtual format. You can watch the ball drop live on WAFB’s Facebook page, in the WAFB App (make sure you’re signed up for push alerts) and right here on Louisiana Weekend in this story. The livestream event will start at 11:45 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.

Special guests, including Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome, will kick off the virtual event with a farewell to 2020. Then, the famous Red Stick will drop at midnight to commence 2021.

Baton Rouge’s Town Square will not feature fireworks, laser light shows or concerts this year, but guests can still get in on the fun. Any viewer who likes, comments, or shares the Red Stick drop livestream will be entered to win a VIP package to Red Stick Revelry 2021. The winner will receive a downtown dinner for two, hotel stay and other amenities.

Mayor-President Broom will announce the winner on the livestream immediately following the Red Stick drop.

Farewell 2020 and Happy New Year!
