Baton Rouge's social and culinary scene continues to grow in 2019 with several business planning to open their doors this year. Check out the openings to keep on your radar now.

3Tails Wine and Cheese

516 Moore St., Suite 102. Projected opening: spring

The business plans to open this spring in partnership with White Star Market’s Square 46 development. The shop will feature wine, cheeses and a charcuterie program. The wine selection promises to focus on small, artisan producers.

Atomic Burger

Intersection of Burbank Drive and Ben Hur Road

The New-Orleans born restaurant expected to open their doors in 2018 but after a few delays they now eye an opening this year. No date has been set, but construction continues at its planned location.

Bumsteers

3109 Perkins Road. Projected opening: February

A new rooftop restaurant looks to open soon in the former Crispy Catch building in the Perkins Road overpass neighborhood. The eatery will focus on burgers, briskets, tacos, sandwiches and sides as well as feature a bar space.

Cypress Coast Brewing Company

Mid City

Cypress Coast Brewing had planned to have a grand opening in 2019 but hopes to open this fall according to its Facebook page. The brewery is expected to have a taproom with rotating beer offerings.

Dat Dog

At Arlington Marketplace, 640 Arlington Creek Centre Blvd.

Baton Rougeans have anxiously been awaiting Dat Dog’s arrival at Arlington Marketplace since last year. The New Orleans restaurant looks to serve up their signature hot dogs this year though no opening date has been announced.

Finbomb Sushi and Poke Bar

At Arlington Marketplace, 640 Arlington Creek Centre Blvd.

Another Arlington Marketplace addition, FinBomb will have ramen bowls, poke bowls and sushi burritos for you to enjoy. The Nevada chain has not yet set an opening date.

Jinya Ramen Bar

10000 Perkins Rowe, Suite 160. Projected opening: summer

Another ramen newcomer, Jinya Ramen Bar is opening a new location this summer in Baton Rouge; adding to its 33 locations across North America. It will be located where VooDoo BBQ used to be housed. There will also be more than 25 toppings to chose from to create their own bowls of ramen.

Le Chien Brewing Company

Highland Road

This new brewery promises great handcrafted beer as well as lunch offerings. No opening date has been set as of yet.

Mid City Beer Garden

3808 Government St. Projected opening: summer

The rumored Mid City Beer Garden has started to come to life on Government St. in the past months. Co-owned by the owners of Radio Bar, the beer garden will feature lots of outdoor seating, food and of course, beer.

MID TAP

Shopping strip on West Lee and Burbank. Projected opening: March

MID TAP has moved from their original plan of a Mid City opening to West Lee & Burbank. The bar will be a self service tap room and is set to open some time in March.

MoMo Tea

At Ichiban Square, 7673 Perkins Road. Projected opening: late January

Get ready for Hong Kong egg waffles, Taiwanese shaved ice and more at Ichiban Square. MoMo Tea is expected to open late January and will serve a popular Asian tea trend called cheese tea- a cold, sweetened tea topped with a foamy layer of cream cheese.

Rally Cap Brewing Company

11212 Pennywood Ave. Projected opening: spring

The sports-themed brewery hit a few delays last year but plans to open this spring with a taproom, 15-barrel brew system, outdoor patio and more.

1503 Government St.

Many are waiting for Red Stick Social to finally open its doors this year. Housed in the old Entergy power plant it will house 10 bowling lanes, a stage for live music, a rooftop deck, beer garden and more. It will also have a restaurant and coffee shop as well.
