2019 Festival International de Louisiane

Five days of international music sets it sights on Lafayette on April 24th – 28th. Festival International de Louisiane is an annual event for the Cajun city that is looked forward to every year. If this is your first time heading out to the fest, or you’re an old pro: here are some great things to keep in mind.

The Courir 5k winds through shaded downtown Lafayette during the best time of the year, Festival season! Cross the finish line right into the magic of Festival International de Louisiane with food, music, and beverages. Your participation in the race helps to fuel this ticketless, community-driven music & art festival. Racers of all ages and speeds are welcome!

WHEN: Saturday April 27. 2019

PRICE: Pre-registration is $35 until February 28, 2019. Registration rates increase to $40 starting March 1st.

FUN FACT: Sign up with friends to make a team. Have the largest team to register for the race, and you all win Lagniappe Passes!

Scène des Jeunes is a festival within Festival! Step into a world of kid-friendly musical performances along with face painting, arts and crafts, instruments and so much more. Our children’s area is the perfect chance to let your little ones get their energy out, all while learning about other cultures through creativity and PLAY!

WHEN: Saturday April 27  & Sunday April 28, 11 am – 4 pm.

WHERE: Cathedral Carmel School Grounds (intersection of St. John & Vermilion St). Entrance is on Versailles Street.


Acadiana’s cuisine is world-renown, unique and enticing. The rich culinary landscape of the area offers an international experience all in one place. Pulling influences from Spain, France, and Africa, area chefs create dynamic dishes that truly represent the spirit of Festival International de Louisiane.

Festival International takes pride in bringing in diverse, quality artwork each year to comprise our worldly art market. We support our local artists, and we open the door to skilled artisans from around the world as well. By promoting culture share through art and music, our festival takes attendees around the world in just four days. Bon Festival!

Marché des Arts

Here you’ll find fine art works such as paintings, pottery, mixed media sculptures, artisan jewelry and other handcrafted items. All items for sale in this area are personally handcrafted by the artist exhibiting.

Marché du Monde

In our World Market you’ll find commercial imports along with some personally handcrafted items. Enjoy browsing through sculptures, clothing, jewelry, ceramics, paintings, instruments and so much more!

Parking downtown gets difficult during Festival. Take advantage of our free shuttle that runs from the public parking lot to downtown Lafayette near Festival International.

Please notice: The public parking lot has relocated this year to Cajun Field, where the facility (not Festival) will be charging a parking fee.
