Friday, Sept. 22: Tacos & Tequila Event

What could be better than tacos? Maybe adding tequila with it! Bite & Booze is teaming up with Brickyard South to bring you Tacos & Tequila. There will be various chefs serving up their own unique tacos as well as tequila Avion cocktails for sampling. It all starts at 6 PM. Tickets range from $35-$75.

Friday-Saturday, Sept. 22-23: Ascension Hot Air Balloon Festival

The 2017 Ascension Hot Air Balloon Festival returns to Gonzales!
The two day festival will have the popular hot air balloon glows, live entertainment, food, nightly fireworks shows, carnival rides and much much more. It all takes place on the Lamar Dixon Expo Center. Admission is $5.00 for adults, free for children 6 and under.

Saturday, Sept. 23: LSU vs. Syracuse

The Tigers will return to Death Valley once again for a match up against the Syracuse Orange this Saturday. Kick off happens at 6 PM.

Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 23-24: NOLA Fried Chicken Festival

After much success at last year’s inaugural festival, the National Fried Chicken Festival has moved to a larger location at Woldenberg Park. The festival will feature local and national food vendors, two music stages, a fried chicken tenders eating contest and the best fried chicken contest. Willie Mae’s Scotch House, McHardy’s and Dat Dog are among the restaurants set to participate.
