Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 16-17: Perkins Rowe Art Festival
Perkins Rowe will host its eighth annual Arts Festival this weekend starting Saturday at 10 AM and Sunday at noon.
Nearly 50 local artists will be at the event showing off their wares all the way down the Perkins Rowe Street. There will also be children’s activities, live music and more. The event is free and open to the public.
Saturday, Sept. 16: Pontchatoula Art & Wine Stroll
Enjoy art, wine and shopping all taking place in downtown Ponchatoula. It’ll all take place from 5-8 PM. Local businesses will also be open late and serving samples of wine. You can purchase an armband and wine glass for $20 from the Ponchatoula Chamber of Commerce the night of the stroll.
Saturday, Sept. 16: Halfway to St. Pat's Day
It’s not St. Patrick’s Day yet but preparations are already underway! The third annual Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day will be taking place at the Overpass Merchant starting at 10 AM.
In partnership with the Wearin’ of the Green, they will be kicking everything off at parade time (10:00 AM) – with live music, bloody marys, food and more! Your $20 will also get you one free green beer and supports Alzheimer’s Services of the Capital Area and the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 16-17: Louisiana Comic Con-Lafayette
Comic lovers rejoice! The Louisiana Comic Con in Lafayette will be happening this weekend. The two day event will be held at the Cajundome Convention Center and all starts on Saturday. There will be special guests, vendors, artists, and more in a family-friendly setting.
Saturday, Sept.16: Oktoberfest Fundraiser
Come celebrate Oktoberfest for a great cause! Kidder & Schultz is celebrating with a family-friendly Oktoberfest/LSU Football Party supporting Dose of the Coast.
