This Thursday get your grub on to celebrate a great cause! The Jambalaya Jam put on by the Capital Area United Way will be from 5-8 PM at North Boulevard Town Square downtown. Admission to the event range from $15-$50 and allow you to eat as much jambalaya as you want from over 50 different teams!
Friday-Sunday, Oct. 13-15: Bridge City Gumbo Festival
Celebrate one of the most treasured Cajun delicacies around! The Bridge City Gumbo Fest will be happening this weekend starting Friday. There will be rides, great live music, and food. Admission is $3 to the festival.
Friday-Sunday, Oct. 13-15: Festivals Acadiens et Creoles 2017
Creole culture is celebrated like never before during this festival in Lafayette. There’s live music, food demos, a bayou food festival and much more. There’s even a ceremonial “Cutting of the Boudin” and a “Tour Des Atakapas Duathlon.”
Friday, Oct. 13: BREC Independance Park Halloween Movie Night
Get in a spooky mood this weekend. Independence Park will be showing a family-friendly Halloween movie this Friday at 7 PM. They will be showing “Paranorman” and concessions will also be available for purchase.
Saturday, Oct. 14: LSU vs. Auburn
It’s the gold game! The LSU Tigers will be taking on Auburn this Saturday in Death Valley. Kick off is at 2:30.
