Friday, August 25: 11th Annual Fete Rouge
Forty local chefs will converge on the L’auberge Casino this weekend at 7 PM. They will present their best dishes in hopes of winning the top prizes including People’s Choice and Best in Show. Another added bonus? Over 200 wines from all over the world will be at the event as well for your tasting pleasure. There will also be a silent auction as well. Tickets are $75.
Saturday, August 26: Baton Rouge Zoo Run Run
It’s time to put on those running shoes! The 12th annual BREC Zoo Run 5K & Fun Run is set for this Saturday at the Baton Rouge Zoo. Registration ranges from $25-$30 for adults and $12-$17 for kids 12 years of age and under. The Fun Run will follow soon after at 7:45 AM while the 5K begins at 8:15 AM.
Saturday, August 26: Fall Fashion Fest
Tin Roof Brewing Company will once again be the place to be for the third annual Fall Fashion Fest!
From 12- 4PM you’ll be able to shop game day and fall apparel from local boutiques, as well as jewelry and more. There will even be a fashion show! And don’t forget about the great beer and food as well. The event is free and open to the public.
Saturday, Aug 26: Taste of Tiger Tailgaiting
Come get a preview of this upcoming tailgating season thanks to the 15th Annual “Taste of Tiger Tailgating!” It’ll be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Raising Canes River Center.
Come out and enjoy food samplings from some of the best restaurants in town, live music and even a kids zone! Tickets are $20 and kids 5 and under get in free. This event has been rescheduled from its original date last week. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date.
Saturday, August 26: Movies and Music on the Lawn
Get ready for a special Movies & Music on the Lawn this weekend at the Baton Rouge Gallery! They will be hosting their first ever “Kids Night.” There will be three silent short films coupled with three bands of local kids who will perform original scores for the movies. Tickets are $7 and includes popcorn. The movies start at 8 PM.
