Friday, June 16: Candlelight Yoga

Enjoy a new take on yoga thanks to the Trademark on Third. They will be holding a candlelight yoga session downtown from 6 to 8 PM on Friday. The 2 hour class will focus on reclined meditation aimed to target the mind and body. There will even be a hot tea bar after for all participants to enjoy. Bring a mat and where some comfortable clothes as this class is free but they do ask for an RSVP.

Saturday, June 17: Mid-City Rising

Come enjoy great music, food and art from 6 to 10 PM at The Collective. Over 20 artists will be showing off their wares at the new monthly show in Mid City. The event is free and open to the public.

Saturday, June 17: Baton Rouge Pride Festival

The 11th annual Baton Rouge Pride Festival will be held from 1 to 8 PM at the Raising Cane’s River Center. There will be live entertainment, an art show, a children’s area and much much more.

BREC’s Blue Bonnet Swamp Nature Center will drop its “No Pet” policy from 9 AM to 12 PM and will open its doors and trails for your furry friends! All pets are welcome, general admission still applies.

Saturday, June 17: Garden Fest

Calling all gardeners, head to the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens this weekend! From 7:30 AM to 1 PM the event will focus on locally grow and produced foods and beverages. There will be food samplings, trial plot tours, trial gardens, tips and tricks for getting the most out of your plants and more. There will even be demonstrations as well as childrens activities. Tickets are $5 for ages 4 and above.
