The Louisiana Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism is offering a discount for overnight lodging at select state parks during the month of October.
Lt. Governor Billy Nungesser is calling the promotion “PARKTOBER.”
Ten parks throughout the state will give visitors a 45% discount per night for cabins, campsites, group camps, and lodges.
The October rates are as follows:
|North Toledo Bend||$85||$17||$14||–||$330|
|Poverty Point Reservoir||$85||$17||$14||–||–||$95|
|South Toledo Bend||$85||$17||$14||$10||–||–|
“What better way to spend an evening in October, than to spend it around a campfire at a Louisiana State Park,” said Lt. Governor Nungesser. “After a day of enjoying nature and nearby tourism attractions, kick back and look up at the stars. Whether you like traditional camping or prefer staying in our cabins, this is a perfect opportunity for a Louisiana staycation.”
Prices do not include applicable taxes. A $6 transaction fee is assessed on each reservation made, whether by phone, online, or as a walk-in. The America the Beautiful Senior and Access Pass discounts cannot be applied to this special rate.
