Park Forest Elementary’s Singing Pirates tour BR to spread holiday cheer

Hark the herald pirates sing! Park Forest Elementary Magnet School’s Singing Pirates tour within the Baton Rouge area to spread holiday cheer.

These aren’t your average pirates though. These musical guys and gals are part of the newly established choir at the creative sciences and arts school. The Singing Pirates are only in their second year of musical development. But, they are singing their way through the town this holiday season.

See them dressed in their snazzy red and green hats with matching green bow ties.

Hear their joyous songs directed by music teacher Dominique Gibbs. They will perform for the public on these dates:

  • Dec. 5 at 6:00 p.m. – Holiday Concert Series in the Mall of Louisiana
  • Dec. 10 at 6:00 p.m. – East Baton Rouge Parish Schools “Student of the Year” awards ceremony at McKinley Middle
  • Dec. 17 & 18 at 5:45 p.m. – Caroling in Park Forest

Be there to support the schools’s growing musical talent.

The Park Forest Elementary Magnet is one of four schools that were awarded the Magnet School Assistance Grant in 2017. This grant helped implement STEAM based learning through the school.
