The day has finally come for Baton Rouge residents. Popular Austin, Texas-based taco chain, Torchy’s, is finally opening its doors to the public on Wednesday, July 22.

Located just steps away from Tiger Stadium, Torchy’s LSU becomes the third Torchy’s to reside in Louisiana.
Torchy’s menu will feature its classic items including the Green Chile Pork Tacos, Baja Shrimp Tacos and the notorious Austin inspired Trailer Park Taco. The menu will also include a Louisiana-exclusive taco called the “Bayou Pirate.”
The Bayou Pirate is a flour tortilla topped with fried crawfish tails, andouille sausage, chow chow pickled relish, cabbage slaw, chipotle sauce, Diablo Sauce and sprinkled with freshly chopped cilantro.
“We are excited to bring Torchy’s ‘Damn Good’ tacos and beloved queso to the great city of Baton Rouge,” said G.J. Hart, Torchy’s Tacos CEO. “Even though we come from Longhorn country, we look forward to turning the Tigers into taco junkies and brining our new Bayou Pirate taco for everyone to try.”
Torchy’s is celebrating the grand opening with a “Tacos for a Year” raffle. The raffle will run from July 22 – 28, and one winner will be selected each day. To enter the raffle, visit the restaurant and scan the unique QR code.
