Geaux Fish on Mardi Gras Day

BREC is hosting a free event for residents to Geaux Fish on Mardi Gras Day.

Families can start off their Fat Tuesday celebration in Zachary at the rodeo before heading out to the parades.

Or they can take a break from the crowds and relax with a fishing pole at a beautiful pond.

Whatever the reason, it’s a great time to get the whole family outdoors and enjoy some fishing.

Catfish Mambo

Crews with BREC Conservation will be stocking the pond with of adult-sized channel catfish in the days leading up to the rodeo.

There will be enough catfish in the pond so all participants will get plenty of bites on their fishing lines.
