Freeze It. Blend It. Sip It – Smoothies

Breakfast can be one of the most hectic times of the day. You’re trying to start your day, rushing to get out the door or to start your first-weekend activity. The last thing you have time to do is make a delicious, cool and refreshing smoothie right? With just a little bit of preparation, the perfect smoothie can be as easy as grab, blend and go. Stock your freezer with one of our favorite smoothie recipes and speed up your smoothie routine. Next time you looking for a smoothie just grab it from the freezer, pop it in the blender, add your liquid ingredients, blend it up and get going!

Strawberry Peach Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cup strawberries
  • 4 peaches
  • 1 cup milk (can also be coconut milk or almond milk)
  • ¼ cup of orange juice (or juice from ½ of an orange)
  • Sweeten to taste (consider using honey or maple syrup instead of sugar)

Instructions

  • Wash, cut and quarter the strawberries
  • Remove the pits and roughly chop the peaches
  • Combine fruit into a freezer bag and freeze
  • When you’re ready to enjoy combine ingredients with milk in the blender, blend, sip and enjoy!

Basic Green Smoothie

              Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw spinach
  • ½ banana
  • 2 cubes of frozen Greek yogurt (freeze ahead of time in an ice cube tray)
  • 1 cup of assorted fruit (bananas, pineapple, mangos, peaches work best, but get creative)
  • 1 cup milk (can also be coconut milk or almond milk)

Instructions

  • Freeze Greek yogurt in ice cube tray
  • Wash, spinach in cool water
  • Chop banana and assorted fruit into small pieces
  • Combine yogurt cubes, spinach and fruit in a freezer bag and freeze
  • When you’re ready to enjoy combine ingredients with milk in the blender, blend, sip and enjoy!
