What to Eat at the LA Street Food Fest

A new festival is rolling into town this weekend! The first annual Louisiana Street Food Festival is happening Saturday from 11 AM to 5 PM in River Plaza. With more than 20 food vendors you can try everything from classic Cajun treats to traditional Hawaiian dishes. We rounded up our top 10 dishes we can't wait to try at this year's fest!

Afrodisiac Nola

Cuisine: Jamaican with a New Orlean’s twist

What we’re eating: Shrimp Curry Bun

The New Orleanian food truck combines both backgrounds of this husband and wife team to make an explosive menu.

On the menu for Saturday will also be: Jerk Chicken Sandwich and Pulled Goat Caribbean Fries with Monterey Jack cheese

Cuisine: Street creations with Louisiana Flavor

What we’re eating: Pork Belly Kabobs with Salted Caramel Sauce

Chef Bennett hails from Carencro, Louisiana. He worked with several chefs from Louisiana to South Texas before finding his own groove.

What we’re eating: Crawfish Poutine

The Nola native hailing from the popular St. Roch Market will be heading to Baton Rouge to serve up his delicious treats this Saturday.

What we’re eating: Surf and Turf-Pork Katsu and Shrimp Katsu served with garlic lemon Aioli

The chef from this Shreveport favorite food truck grew up cooking traditional Polynesian food in Tonga-so we know it’s got to be good!
