Disneyland closes due to coronavirus outbreak

Disney temporarily closes its California theme park amid the coronavirus pandemic. Disneyland shuts its doors starting March 14 through the end of the month, according to the New York Times

Disney theme park in Anaheim, Calif. closed until the end of March.

The park’s hotels will remain open until March 16, so guests can make necessary travel accommodations.

This is the fourth time in the park’s history that it’s shut down operations. Disneyland closed up shop after the Sept. 11 attacks, JFK’s assassination and the Northridge earthquake.

Disney will issue refunds to guests booked during the closure. The company said it would continue to pay its employees during the closure, also.

Disney noted that there had been no reported cases of the virus at the resort, reported the New York Times.
