BIGFISH: Redfish are plentiful in Delacroix

Fishing for speckled trout in Delacroix is disappointing right now, but the redfish are outstanding!

For anglers with weekend fishing plans, Captain CT Williams says this weekend should be a good one, especially if you’re in Delacroix.

Captain CT explains that even when conditions are wrong for one species, they can be oh so right for another.

Delacroix: GREAT for Redfish, BAD for Speckled Trout

Fishing for speckled trout isn’t what we usually see this time of year in Delacroix. A particularly high Mississippi River may be to blame.

However, the very conditions that may be slowing down the speckled trout bite are heating up our fishing for redfish!

Captain CT and Captain Jack Payne launched from the Sweetwater Marina in Delacroix and caught a limit of redfish.
