Bandito Festival to bring music and food to downtown Baton Rouge

Festival season is right around the corner and a new event has added its name to the downtown Baton Rouge roster.

The Bandito Festival will make its debut on Saturday, June 22. Eric Carnegie, who spearheaded the Baton Rouge Oyster Fest in 2018, is producing the event. He says it will feature local music and native chefs and restaurants.

“We put together what we feel is a top of the line music lineup accompanied by some of Baton Rouge’s most well-respected chefs and restaurants in the culinary scene,” Carnegie said. “To be able to bring this much musical talent in one day is something we know will peak the interest of not only the people of Baton Rouge but the surrounding areas and states as well.”

The day will begin at 11 a.m. and continue until 11 p.m. Carnegie says the music will range from The festival will range from country to rock-n-roll to Americana. The official lineup is here.

And what would any self-respecting Louisiana festival be without food?! This one has some great vendors already lined up. They include Gov’t Taco, Jay D’s Barbecue, Mestizo Louisiana Mexican Cuisine, and BRQ Seafood & Barbecue.
