Breakfast: Batch 13 Biscuits & Bowls

Nothing says breakfast in the south quite like a hot, fresh, steamy, scratch-made biscuit and no one in town is doing biscuits quite like Batch 13 Biscuits and Bowls. They’ve taken the humble biscuit to a whole nother level, layering flavors, textures and colors into every bite. Whether you’re looking for breakfast, brunch or lunch there’s something for everyone without blowing your budget! From their doughnut biscuit hybrid, the bonut, to our personal favorite and pick of the day, the “Spicey Fried Chicken & Andouille Gravy” smothered biscuit you can’t go wrong at Batch 13 Biscuits and Bowls.

Lunch: Anthony’s Italian Deli

Over 50 years ago Anthony and Marie Saia moved from their home in Italy to the United States. Longing for a taste of home they opened Anthony’s Italian Deli 40 years ago. Not much has changed in their last 40 years. They still serve nearly the identical menu of muffulettas, pressed sandwiches and homemade spaghetti made with their house-made sausage and homemade olive salad. Trust us, that is a very good thing! Their lasagna is hands down one of our absolute favorites. Looking for something a little different? Try the Godfather, a sandwich you can’t refuse.

Dinner: Eliza Restaurant & Bar

When two people in the restaurant business fall in love they get married and open a restaurant? That’s exactly what happened for Sally & Russell Davis who began their careers and met while working at Commander’s Palace Restaurant in New Orleans. After moving to Baton Rouge in 2015 they combined their experiences and talents to create the restaurant they had dreamed up on their first date. Eliza Restaurant & Bar, named after their now-10-year old daughter opened in 2016. Their mission to serve high-quality southern favorites with an abundance of hospitality.
